# Detect musical notes

Hi,

Does AS3 have the functionality to detect and distinguish between musical notes?  
I’m trying to find ways of learning the guitar and thought making a flash game would help me learn faster… Something similar to guitar hero 😛

But that’s getting a little ahead of myself - So, can flash detect certain sounds?
