Dear Kirupa Users,

Your forums are the shiaté. Pardon my french.

Perhaps you could answer this question: How do I determine current position of a button using ActionScript with Flash MX. I have a MC called “spinner” which is tweened to rotate once CW in 90 frames. This has other AS associated with it. Inside this are the six buttons which are all instances of the same button and named bt1, bt2 and so forth. These have no code in them at tthis time. Basically, buttons inside a MC on the stage. I want to know their position as the MC spins.

I have tried stuff like this

\_root.spinner.bt1.\_x
this.bt1.\_x
etc

Hopefully this is clear

Thankyou very much in advance for your insightful responses,
Rick
