I wonder why noone’s mentioned this already?
Anyway, version 4 was launched about 10 hours ago, marking the fourth birthday for the ever popular and fast growing online art community. Prizes were given away, including one-year subscriptions and framed prints (i didnt win :()… Lots of new features, including a [very crazy] chatroom! Yeah same here. I don’t notice any major visual differences. I never used DA besides browsing through several of the members’ entries, so I don’t even know much about which features were old or recently added 😛

what 's going to happen when they finally go live, and all 200,000 member hit it at the same time…? D’oh

The intro had really poorly compressed sound. Also, the content on the site loads as slow as ever.

I noticed the change in the message system. I kind of liked it when all the messages were on one page; now, they’re tabbed by category. I haven’t played with the settings yet to see if I can change that, though.

Yea, the nav is tabbed now, I liked it the old way for the messages, the new way for deviation browsing. Krilnon- the downloading has always been slow, but if you think it’s bad now, you should have seen it a year ago…
