# Dex scales AI hiring with success-based fees

Dex has raised $5.3m to match AI engineers with companies, and it’s already pulled in $1.8m ARR in under six months by only charging fees on successful hires.

$1. 8m ARR in under six months is kinda nuts, but when they say they only charge on “successful hires, ” do they mean literally just accepted offers or is there any clawback/guarantee if the engineer bounces after like 3–6 months? ngl I might be wrong here.

When they say “successful hires, ” do they mean the engineer actually starts (not just signs), and is there any clawback if they leave in the first 3–6 months?
