# Director variables to Flash MX

Searching for this answer here netted some results from 2003,…scary. Anyway, I need help on passing a variable (a string to be precise) from Director MX to Flash MX. I know how to do the getUrl method from Flash to Director but not the reverse.

I have an audio file playing and need the “time remaining” handler in Director to update a dynamic text field in Flash.

Any help or links to help would be great. Thanks.
