# Displaying the waveform of a mp3

Does anybody know how I would show the wave form of an mp3 in my flash movie?

I want to do like in the Windows Media Player “scope” visualization, where it has the waveform constantly scrolling in a window.

Well, Flash can’t do that on it’s own, it can’t analyse a sound track to extract it’s ‘waveform’ data. However, other programs who place the retrieved data in an swf file can. For example: SwiftMP3. 🙂
