# DIV over a TABLE

Do you know a way to place a DIV over a TABLE like this one? [http://37signals.com/svn/images/bp-new-calendar-big.png](http://37signals.com/svn/images/bp-new-calendar-big.png)

Let’s say the colored stripes are DIV’s.

I know you can place the DIV over the TABLE by using absolute positioning. But I do not know how to do the absolute positioning based on the table. **How can I do ABSOLUTE positioning based on the TABLES dimensions?**
