# Do you pay tax on web design?

Something occured to me the other day. As i get more and more web jobs, somewhere along the line the tax man might get curious. All the people who i do sites for just send me a cheque and thats the end of story. but lets face it, the tax always catch up with you - any advice on how to do this properly would be welcome.
