just to jump in the mosh pit…
i don’t think i’m supposed to be saying this, but…
there’s word on the street that game developpers don’t actually pay for their software at first. they (i don’t want to use “steal”) simply …er… ah phuck it…STEAL the big time software (3dsmax, maya, lightwave, etc) then put their product on the market. as soon as the money starts flowin, that’s when they pay for the product. believe me, i’ve got sources who tell me this. i tell them back that they shouldn’t be telling me this and that it’s not fair that there are developpers working for nothing cause their product is being stolen (a lil extreme, but icing). i don’t think it’s right.
wanna buy software? get a job, buy it. personally, i like my $10/hour job not cause of my pay but because it’s something i would be doing anyway on my freetime if i hadn’t taken that job (i work with [www.vodium.com](http://www.vodium.com), that flash you might find around isn’t mine…they won’t let the me have at it ☹ ).
