This is a post I put recently on [ultrashock.com](http://ultrashock.com) with no response. I’m hoping it gets better response here.

I’m kinda still working on this concept.

Basically I need several layers of functionality

1. A simple click and drag feature (I sort of have this working, but have some issues with the looping)

2. A click, drag, and toss scrolling feature.

Normally I know you’d put all the mc’s inside of one giant clip and just move it back and forth, but I need to keep them separate so I can (a.) fade them out on either side once they reach a certain \_x value, and (b.) so I can enable and disable them once they are fully on the screen. There needs to be 2 of them hanging off the screen when its in rest mode.

Oh yeah and there needs to be a snap feature, so when they come to rest there is one always in the middle.

I’m attaching a FLA of what I have so far.

If anyone could lend a hand I be greatly appreciative.

I should note that the problem I’m having right now is keeping the mc’s evenly spaced apart as I drag back and forth. Once I accomplish this I need to then add the “drag’ntoss” feature.

Okay, so I played a little more with this and got it working a little better.
At least the gapping effect isn’t as bad

I’m still wondering how I can improve upon this.
It seems like the trackMouseX function is under alot of distress as it’s doing alot of work to update those movieclip \_x locations. I think I could optimize this some.

Here’s my latest file.

If anyone has any input please let me know.
Thanks
