# Drawing API effect.. help needed

Hi everyone, I’m new to the API capabilities of Flash. I’m trying to achieve an effect like this menu: [http://www.hypertemplates.com/templates/14881.html](http://www.hypertemplates.com/templates/14881.html)

The various threads/lines that the menu hang on. Curving and springing back to their original form.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for code or tutorials. I’ve read a basic tutorial on the api but don’t really know how to extend this to achieve different effects.
