# Drawing rainbow in illustrator?

can somebody tell me what the best way is to draw a rainbow as in the included JPG?

i tried somethings in illustrator, but i want an easy method so i can make the stripes first in a rectangle and after that affect the whole shape with the rainbow in it!

please help?
