# Dreamweaver - editregion and templates?

I have been doing a tutorial from a magazine and at various parts Of the tutorial I was asked to make an editable region. I followed what it said and it did produce an area with editable region written in it. My problem is, I cannot do anything in this region - it seems to be locked off from working on. Also, it asked me to make a template which I did and I don’t know how to use this either. It placed this template in a folder for some reason.

I am new to dreamweaver and have to say I am finding it the most complex and poorly tutored program I have EVER come across. Even flash seems simple in comparison. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction towards some good tutorials on the above subjects. I want to just forget dreamweaver but on the other hand don’t want to be beaten by it.
