# Droa - should I bother?

Hey everyone,  
I got a letter in the mail about registering one of my domain names ([xxviii.net](http://xxviii.net)) through the Domain Registry of America. The thing wants 25 bucks for a year just so I can have it through them or something and it is confusing me. I know I can get it elsewhere for like 7 bucks. So basically what I want to know is if this is just some crappy scam or if it is something I should consider.
