I’m evaluating an idea that I have for a physics type site and I need to find a way of doing the following two things:

1. I know that I have come across drag n drop tutorials before but I can’t find them! Can someone direct me to some! I basicly want to take a letter or any image and drop it onto a big circle and then have it stay there!

2. Secondly is there a way of having the visitor kind of like create their own image and then have them save it to the site so that it can be displayed in a gallery without using fancy stuff like php, cgi ?

Thanks in advance! 🙂

1. Type “drag and drop” in the search box up there 🙂
2. No. You have to store the positions somehow if you want to make a gallery. At best, each person could create his own image with shared objects.

Well… You can do the second thing… ANd if flash had direct connections to write to text file.s. YOu could do it without php…

BUT

Unfortunately… You’d have to use php… But it wouldn’t be too hard… Just use this type of format in the text file…

shape
point1x
point1y
point2x
point2y

That would be for a line… And so on… Whatever the shape is… It would load up a certain function to redraw that then…

I’ve thought about something like this before… And Wanted to do it… _thinks_
