# Dynamic Movieclip Color

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has an idea how to change the bg\_color of a movie clip dynamically through a xml file.

I can pull the information needed just fine but I can not get setRGB to recognize a variable name.

ie: newColor = new Color(bg\_mc);  
newColor.setRGB(bg\_color);  
bg\_color = 0x102892;

does not do the trick

any help would be appreciated
