hey
I’m trying to make a nav menu and I am using a mask, I have dynamic text boxes which will offer descriptions of the various button. The problem is that when i run the swf the dynamic text simply does not appear

I had the same problem 🙂 You need to embed the font outlines. Go to the properties inspector for your textfield, click on character and embed the font outlines for all characters. Hope that helped!

can i ask u something which is out of this topic ? i want to use a font (which i downloaded) as the users will have download the same font so that they can see it . if i break them up will be they able to see it !

If you break the text up then yes they will be able to see it. Kirupa did the same thing to the pixel font on the navigation bar of this forum.
