# Dynamic text in mc

I have a dynamic textbox inside one movieclip which in turn is placed in another movieclip and then that movieclip is placed on the stage. The problem I am having is that the dynamic text is not being displayed on the main stage. If I change the text type to static then it displays okay, but I need it to be dynamic. Anybody know what the problem is?
