Seeing that it’s been a few months since I bought my latest gadget, I think it’s time to step it up a notch and get something new. And I’ve been really thinking about getting an e-book reader. I know lots of people consider the iPad to be just the thing, but I’m concerned with the eye strain that regular screens cause. So this is pretty much directed to e-book reader owners: which one do you recommend? Is kindle the best there is? I heard there are problems with pdf rendering(unless you convert it through Amazon services). How good is the contrast in daylight? Or are there better options?
