# Easy Design Question

Hi,

I know this question is an easy answer so be easy on me. I am rusty with my jargon and can’t remember much from my web design days. Anyways, how do I make a similar layout compared to the link listed below:

I am not going to duplicate it exactly but I do not remember how to create the white parts laying over the black background images.
