Is it possible to edit the xml file on my webserver form a swf.movie in the webbrowser

Yes, but you will need to put something on the web-server to process and save the edit, just as you would if you were doing the edit from an HTML form. There’s nothing magical about Flash that’s gonna give you this feature on the back-end.
