heres a pic of me
ive tried to edit it to make it darker on my face…
but nothing seems to be working for me
any ideas

duplicate the layer of the original picture, press ctrl+u and drag the sat. slider to -100, then set the layer to hard light.

hmm doesnt seem to be working
the origional picture was bright to begin with

there’s an old addage:
“you can’t enhance that which was never there in the first place”
which I think fits here…

reverend said it but you can try:
- You could use curves(ctrl+M) in PS and ctrl+Click on the portion of the face you want darker and adjust curves according to that
- or -
- you could use the burn tool and make that portion darker.
Looks like you’ve been using colour dodge/burn on the image which will generally make the lighter parts of the image darker

if you go to images\>adjustments\>levels you can mess with the darkness/mids/brightness…
or go to image\>adjustments\> brightness/contrast… it looks like ther eis alot of contrast added around your face… so you could probably take the contrast down a little…
