How would you edit something on a database using PHP?

I want to be able to type something on a input area, and when I press submit it replaces whatever was in the database with what I type.

I been looking everywhere to find something like this x.X … PLEASE HELP x.X!

Already check tutorials but they too confusing ☹

Thank you!
