I’ve been programming in flash for nearly 10 years, but this one has really got me… can’t find any reference to this exact problem anywhere!

I have a dynamic text field. It needs to have the font embedded, so that I can make it disappear by changing the “\_alpha,” but it also needs to be html-enabled.

Has anyone figured out a way to do this?

Very simple fla illustrating the problem is attached.

BTW, I’ve already tried putting the text fields in a “holder” movie clip, the results are the same.

Also, I’ve tried programmatically setting .html and .embedFonts to true, that also doesn’t help.

Thanks in advance…

Jerome
