Hi all, I had been getting into scripting for photoshop and have created something thats quite usefull for flash users so I thought id post it here

Is a link to my blog article that explains it fully and offers the download. But basically it takes any PSD, and exports each layer as a cropped to size PNG.
FEEDBACK PLEASE… I want this to be ongoing and create the perfect scipt so feedback from “peeps who use it only” would be appreciated.
NOTE TO “NOT JUST FOR WEB” - FLASH USERS
I have also done one that doesnt crop that keep layouts in tact when you import into flash, email me if you want it.

This features been built into after effects and DVD authoring apps for years …and now finally FLASH WOOOOOOT!!!

Well, it works man! Ill updtae my feedback as I use it as part of my workflow, only features I maybe liek to see would be the option to use 8bit OR 24 bit png output and some dithering options for optomising the transparencies on gradients etc!

Very very nice indeed.
Here’s a thought - maybe there’s a way to output the x and y offset for each png? (perhaps within the png’s name?)
for example: a cropped png that should be layed-out in flash at x50 X y100 would get named - ‘myPng2\_x50\_y100.png’
this can make laying out in flash much faster 🙂

thanks for the feedback… im making this a long term project to perfect it and possibly even make it do the whole job.
spent the last 3 days trying to learn applescript to do the whole job, so who knows maybe in a year or so…hehe
