# Events wont work \[ troubles \]

I have a problem to trigger some buttons…

```auto
 
trace (subItem)

traces....

_level0.mainMenu.menuItem0.subMenu.subItem1
_level0.mainMenu.menuItem0.subMenu.subItem2

subItem.onRollOver = function() {
    trace ("hey")
        .....traced nothing.
};

```

I know events cant be nested.

Somehow i can’t figure it out how i do get it to work.

i tried with this.

```auto

subItem.onPress = function () {menuItem.onPressHandler(); trace("PRESSED");};

```
