I’m helping a friend with an Excel spreadsheet for a football pool. I’ve been trying unsuccessfully for a while now to figure out if there is a way to make a cell contain a certain number based on a formula. Basically, my issue is that - for example - cell A2 cannot contain a formula, but I need it’s results to be based off of a formula from two other cells.

So - I need cell A2 to equal C2+D2, but A2 must be able to be pasted week after week into another spreadsheet - so it can’t contain the actual formula, it must contain only the actual sum of C2 and D2

For example:

C2+D2=40

In A2, I can’t have =C2+D2 because when A2 is pasted into a new spreadsheet the references are gone - I need “40” to be pasted. Is there a way to do this? Thanks for any and all help - it’s driving me crazy.
