Well, I know. I must sound like the biggest n00b ever. Ah well, I really should have learned this stuff in the beginning. Well, i got this game called Guild Wars. Seems like an awesome game… until I played it. The lag was so horrible, I really have to figure out whats wrong. Okay, I’m not sure where to start but, here it is.
[_]Intel® 82845G/GL Graphics Controller (this is my video card right?)
[_]Audio Codecs/Legacy Auido Drivers/Legacy Video Capture Devices/Media Control Devices/Realtek AC’97 Audio/Video Codecs
[_]Intel® Celeron® CPU 2.00GHz
[_]I also have 256 MB of RAM
[_]CD ROM drive
[_]50 GB hard drive
[\*]internet, keyboard, mouse
Um, I need to know how to get more RAM, and really, an explanation of RAM and what it does for games… I also need to know if my processor is any good [and if I replace it, what should I get]. Also, what is the difference between a graphics card and a video card? I just have a lot of lag on there and I think it could be a very good game. All comments/suggestions highly appreciated.
