# Express install is not supported by this version of flash player

Hi there,

message: “express install is not supported by this version of flash player. To upgrade, please visit: [Flash Player Download Center](http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer)”

1. i get the above message from expressinstall autoUpdater.swf

2. using swfobject 2.1

3. using Firefox 3 with Flash Switcher plugin

4. running this example:

```auto
http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/expressinstall.html

```

(and also running my webpage) gives same message (above).

1. When visiting this link:

```auto
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_15507&sliceId=1

```

- it says “Your Player Version: WIN 7,0,63,0”
- which is above the minimum (v6.0.65) necessary to run Express Install.

1. I find old unanswered posts on the internet like:

http://board.flashkit.com/board/showthread.php?t=780797

```

1. the detection passes when the flashplayer is above the minimum set in the SWFObject, and the website runs correctly (obviously), but that means expressinstall is unusable

QUESTION: how to fix this to be able to use express install correctly?
