# Extending movie beyond canvas.. Can it be done?

I’m fairly new to flash8 and have used one of the kirupa tutorials to create and XML based menu. My canvas is set to 516x30 and whenever I rollover a menu item, the submenus do not overlap the rest of my page. Is this normal? and is there anyway around this? I’ve done it before with javascript, but I prefer the easy maintence of XML. Here is the link so you can get a visual of what I’m talking about.
