# External html controls Flash timeline?

Is there a way to conrtol the flash timeline with an external html file? For example, if i loaded in a textfield formatted as html, can i get the \<a\> tags to , (…say) \_root.gotoAndPlay (33)

does this need to be in javascript, php, or xml?
