# External links don't work properly

Hi,

I am having problems with external links. When the GetURL action is placed on a button, it works fine, but when the action is placed on text (turned into a movie clip) or html enabled dynamic text, the link doesn’t work properly…a lot of times, you need to click over and over again before anything happens.

Anyone had this problem before?

Thats because its just text, sometimes its hard to click on the text links. I’ve had the same problem too so what I did was made a rectangle or square and turned it into a symbol. Next I made the alpha on the symbol to 0 so that it would be invisible and then I placed it over the text inside the movie clip. What that did was make the movieclip easier to click, there was a larger area for the mouse to detect the link. Hope I didn’t confuse you. =)
