# External SWF: gotoAndPlay

Don’t fret. This isn’t another thread with path problems – or at least I don’t think it is.

I’m drawing a blank on this particular problem.

I have a controller loading external swf files using the loadClip function which works just fine. Everything runs through on it’s own perfectly.

However, when I run a gotoAndPlay on certain frames where there’s a movieclip on the stage with nested movieclip animations, they start playing out fine but it quickly skips ahead randomly w/out the animation in the nested movieclips finishing.

Has anyone run into this?

I should add that I’m testing the files locally, so I can’t imagine it being an issue of the file loading completely…

I tried searching but couldn’t come up with anything that related to my problem.
