# External Text Question

I want to have an external text thing load on my site. I tried the tutorial on here about it but for some reason the text didn’t show up when I previewed it in my browser. Also I was wondering how you can use a different slider other than the one that is in Flash MX?

there is a tutorial here on sliders.
about your external text, which tutorial did you try? Did you get any errors?
Stupid question of the day: “Was your text color different than your background color?” Trust me. I’ve had plenty of people mess that one up.

I got it to work, but I’m still wondering how I can use a different scroll bar other than the one that is in Flash MX. What if I just wanted an arrow at the top and bottom that the user could click on to scroll through the text? How can I implement my own scroll bar?
