# Extract still images from animation?

Hello,

Does anyone know the best way to extract still frame images, jpeg, gif, png or pdf from a flash movie? I’ve tried using export image and publish settings but the image turns up all pixelated or totally blacked out. My movie has a lot of movie clips within movie clips, not sure if that makes any difference. Should I somehow flatten the file to get the optimum image quality output?

I tried downloading a swf decompiler but it wouldn’t let me save any frames as it was a demo version (called Gordon) and moreover I couldn’t see every frame of my movie within the software’s stage…if anyone thinks the decompiler is the way to go, do they know of any good versions for a mac os x?

Any help is greatly appreciated
