# Fading Grid

I was trying to create this effect published on Kirupa:

I’m using flash 5, and have followed this to the letter, but when I test/run the file I just get a blank white page, no border, no image. I’m not sure if it’s the way I set things up or the Action Script I copied & pasted from the posting, Anyone got any suggestions? or sample code?

Can u attach a file or paste the code perhaps?
Unfortunately i (and alot of forum users with me) don’t have special gifts so we can sense whats going wrong with your AS 🙂

The code I used was exactly the same as that in the tutorial, I copied/pasted it.
The image/box/border is exactly the same as that used in the tutorial. There must be something i’m missing… but I’ve looked at it so long my eyes are starting to hurt…
I can forward the .fla file to you if you would like.

The tutorial was written for use with Flash MX. It will not work for Flash 5.
