# Fading text, and then some

ok, so im making this movie for a friend of miine, and i want to ahve the whole fading text thing…on the stage, everything works great, but when i test movie, the text is just there, no fading or anything…WHY!!!

also, i have a graphic in there, and it moves around…when i test movie though, its gets all jaggy round the edges. how can i prevent that?

can you be more specific about your fading text? there are several ways to do this in flash–did you use a tween? one possibility is that you used a motion tween instead of a shape tween–the way to check this is to look at your timeline–if you have a valid tween, it will show a solid arrow, if it’s not valid, there will be a dotted line–try changing your tween from shape to motion, or vice versa, and see what happens…

afa, your graphic, a couple of possibilities–first off, are you enlarging it in flash? your original graphic should either be close to 100% of the size you want it in flash, or else it can be smaller, but with a higher rez (first method is preferable)

what kind of image is it?  
my method is to use photoshop/psd images, and then simply drag the image from ps to flash…
