# Falling snow

I read the Falling Snow tutorial, but I actually came here searching for ideas to make falling snow in Flash. Anyone got suggestions? I’m slightly amateurish in flash, but I’m very computer literate and I understand most intructions.

I notice that little logo at the bottom… if you told me how to do that, I could make it vertical and change it to white circles, and that’d be all I need… heh…

LOL, Crazy Kirupa had a Flash and a Javascript falling snow tutorial, both with the same name.

K, I got it working with a little frustration (the interface changes in MX being my sole source of it). It’s better than I could’ve hoped for without this site. Thanks a lot. Now to read up on your other tutorials, this place is great…

I’ll just use this thread (so I don’t have to post a new one) to say that this is possibly the best flash tutorial site I’ve ever found. Others I’ve used just left me frustrated and still without any skill, but this one actually has shown me how some of my favorite effects are created. Now if I could figure out some of Phong’s stuff, I’d be set. heh.

Hi,
I really like the simple falling snow script. Is there any way to make it fall for longer? I like the fact that it does stop after a period so as not to annoy people too much, but I would like it to run for about a minute.
