I am considering purchasin the Standard Version of Adobe After Effects for use with flash. I have played about with the trial version and watched a lod of tutorials and wonder if its worth the purchase.

The reason I want to buy it is I do a lot of flash intro and banner work and it seems a lot faster to create FX than in flash. thinks like text FX, masking and transitions. I would also like to use it for FX on my flash sites to, things like write on mask FX look so cool.

I just wonder if existing After FX users things its worth me purchasing to full fill this need or should I hang on with Flash?
