I started coding html, JavaScript and ActionScript first from this site back in around 2001 or so. The music track that brings me back is this on repeat back then: [![](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex011/uploads/kirupa/original/3X/9/f/9f4dd8cc0b93fbb163ee3e49751be79d50d4e128.jpeg "Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cwkej79U3ek) What yours? ---

2001 was an average year for me… [![](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex011/uploads/kirupa/original/3X/b/9/b9fbe123cfd2dc6ce55a24eb0fc378c2aef05948.jpeg "Coldplay - Yellow (Official Video)") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKNxeF4KMsY) ---

Wow that was a good song. I thought it was newer than 2001. Thanks for sharing! I kind of miss those days. ---

@steve.mills - are you fully recovered from your leg injury? @Wayne - it would be this one by Enigma: [![](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex011/uploads/kirupa/original/3X/2/d/2d032de67e89a4198b00d15d467679a420940ec0.jpeg "Shadows In Silence") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToIB1PK4RzQ) I listened to a lot of ambient music back then, and even now I still do when driving 🙂 ---

Thants interesting! I tried techno or movie soundtracks but it gets too fast. I might try ambient! ---

I was quite young at the time, but I vividly remember my fascination with Flash. It was an exciting era, especially when Ajax emerged on the scene. I recall @kirupa discussing the integration of Ajax with Flash, and I was truly amazed by how Google utilized Ajax for its search suggestions. It felt like a turning point as the world gradually shifted towards JavaScript. In those early days, I found myself exploring simple loops in ActionScript on various forums, soaking up all the new information. It was a thrilling time filled with endless possibilities, and I loved every moment of it. ---
