That was a joke if you never noticed the smiley, it wasn’t meant to be mean at all. Ok, dan - cool it! As a moderator you could try to be a little bit more courteous and censor your language a bit more. There is no need for you, as a moderator, to use profanity, insult others, or make offensive comments.
We do not tolerate such behavor from other members on this board - that applies to moderators as well. Making personal attacks against someone or saying you don’t like someone is not wise - it leads to what happened a short while ago 
When somebody says something ridiculous, ignore them. Best would be to do what lost and edwin did to the gaming thread - lock the thread for a few hours - and re-open it a bit later. As eyez said, simple words are all people have on the forums to judge another person’s emotions by - what might seem harmless could be construed as “I’m going to get you with a giant toothpick!”
So, just calm down - take a deep breath, and one day we will all charter a plane and go to each of their homes and do what Jubba says “beat them into submission” =)
