Dear [name]: It has come to my attention that you have made an unauthorized use of my copyrighted work entitled [name of work] (the “Work”) in the preparation of a work derived therefrom. I have reserved all rights in the Work, first published in [date], [and have registered copyright therein]. Your work entitled [name of infringing work] is essentially identical to the Work and clearly used the Work as its basis. [Give a few examples that illustrate direct copying.] As you neither asked for nor received permission to use the Work as the basis for [name of infringing work] nor to make or distribute copies, including electronic copies, of same, I believe you have willfully infringed my rights under 17 U.S.C. Section 101 et seq. and could be liable for statutory damages as high as $150,000 as set forth in Section 504©(2) therein. I demand that you immediately cease the use and distribution of all infringing works derived from the Work, and all copies, including electronic copies, of same, that you deliver to me, if applicable, all unused, undistributed copies of same, or destroy such copies immediately and that you desist from this or any other infringement of my rights in the future. Being ripped is the sincerest form of flattery 🙂 edit:/ Also, I don’t understand why you want it removed as long as they give credit to you and are not stealing your bandwidth. It’s similar to good-tutorials and all of those other tutorial sites right? However they should remove it on your request. ---

They aren’t really giving any credit, There isn’t a single link to ffiles on their site. Its not similar to good-tutorials because that is just a link database that directs users to the various tutorials which aren’t actually on their servers. Down-fr actually downloaded the content and put it on their servers (and didn’t give any credit). 😉 rofl DDD :lol: Any kirupians live near 188bis bvd Pereire in Paris? Its just when they take ALL of our content and put it on \*their \*site without the author’s permission is when it isn’t right. I don’t have problems with them taking the content as long as they get permission from the file’s author 😉 Because some people don’t want there work floating around the internet not knowing where it is. It is the author’s property so they should be able to restrict the file’s distribution as they please 🙂 So, if they say ‘use it however you want,’ go ahead an post it all over the internet 😉 But if they don’t, let them do that. -bigmtnskier :hugegrin: :lol: @ seb ---
