# File \> Import Video ¦ how to buffer

Hi all

I am loading a video as playback component directly on the timelime using the File \> Import Video functionality.

However I would need to start pre-loading/buffering few scenes ahead (or even with the main movie pre-loaded) in order to play properly.

I know this may be basic and I am a bit new to AS3, but I could not find information on how to pre-load in this specific case.

Any help on where to find this scenario info?
