Hi, I made a banner that is 21.4 KB. Problem is, it needs to be 15 KB or under. I am wondering if anyone knows ways of decreasing the filesize. I know the obvious, take stuff out, but are there other ways? All I have is text and 2 pictures. Some of the text is different colors. Any ways of doing this? Thanks.

dont embed fonts if you are
reduce the compression quality of your images either specifically in the library for each image or in the publish settings

I wouldn’t use optimaze! if there’s an image in the flash movie [size=1][it looks like %$·"!][/size]
works great if there’s nothing but vectors

Optimaze can work on any other vector images which may be present or vectorized text as well

well … that’s your opinion … I respect it. but I just don’t like the way it works with any image

Depends what kind of images you’re using I guess. If you’ve imported bitmaps from Photoshop, that’ll push up the size.
Gradient fills and alpha fades will do the same.
If you post the .fla up we can have a look, see if we can come up with any suggestions.
