hey, im sort of new to flash mx. i kno how to make nice looking movies and stuff but i cant figure out a way to keep the size down. it takes like a min to download my movies on a cable modem… what can i do. is there a program or somthing that can reduce file size.
by the way the file size really boosts when i import .gif or .jpeg files…

I use Adobe Photoshop to reduce the size of my .jpg and .gif images before importing them to flash. Go to File\>Save for web in photoshop, from there you can play with the settings to get different sizes and quality.

I usually save as max quality from Photoshop.
Then in Flash right click on the image in the library and go to Properties, then adjust the options in there to what you want.
