What’s the best way to find a domain name or to see if a specific name is available??

Just enter the name into the field to see if it is availible. It will also tell you if some other variaions of the name are availible too.
Also… Just put it in the url field… It’s most likely availible or able to be availible if that page is empty. If you are lucky 🙂

What if someone has already registered the name but the URL does not exist? Will they want to sell it for a lot?

It depends on how valuable they think the URL is. I usually can find a variant of the URL that isn’t used so I just go with that. I would rather spend something like $20 getting a URL that’s close to what I want then trying to buy the actual one for who knows how much. I have seen a .com be listed at $500 when the .net version wasn’t taken. Hmm, now what one would you want to use? 🙂

best thing to do is simply email them and ask. all they can say is no.
