# Firefox Issues... Can You Help?

Yesterday Firefox 1.5 downloaded an update and said it would install it when I restarted the browser. So I did so and it gave me an error along the lines of “software install failure”. So I hit cancel and it brought it up again, so I hit retry and it brought it up once more. It turned out to be an endless loop and I had to shut down my computer to get rid of it.

Since version 1.5 no longer opened for me I downloaded version 2.0. This gave me the following error:

"Error opening file for writing:

mathfontMTExtra.properties

Click retry to try again, or  
Cancel to stop the installation."

So now I cannot get either version of Firefox to work and was hoping someone here might have some insight for me.
