# First grid-based site

I’m trying to redesign a site using a grid-based layout, but I’ve hit a snag. Either I haven’t yet overcome my beginner’s fear of white space or the new layout doesn’t look as good as the old one. I just need critiques on the layout and overall design of the page; please ignore the obviously broken things: the mismatched and pixelated “Contact Us” header, the atrocious blue header, …
