# Flash 8 - autoSize bug?

It seems that if i have autoSize set to true, when i change the text of a textfield, it takes a bit of time for flash to update the \_width property to the new value - not long, but enough to mess things up. Also, it doesnt happen all the time, just maybe 1 in 50 or something…

this also only seems to happen if i have autokerning on…what the???

has anyone else seen this? and why is it not documented? and how can i get around it?
