How do you get the selected index in a datagrid, thats it, thats all i need to know, it’s driving me crazy, please help!!

by the way the actual situation is that I’m tryin to show the data of a selected row in a datagrid, when a row is selected the current slide is set as invisible and the message\_view slide is made visible and the data is shown in a text box. e.g.

on\_datagrid\_click\_event (  
text\_box.text = data\_at\_selected\_index;  
this.\_visible = false;  
\_parent.messageView.\_visible = true;  
}
